WUV, The Nature Conservancy and the VT Department of Environmental Conservation are teaming up to host a two-hour training webinar on the Water Quality Blueprint and Clean Water Roadmap for the Lake Champlain Basin. This training is intended to help participants develop confidence in using these online tools in their everyday work for project development and planning
The first part will train participants in how to use the Water Quality Blueprint to focus on prioritizing sites for protection and restoration in the Lake Champlain Basin. This will highlight sites of particular importance for restoration practices, including tree planting, and will train participants to use this tool to provide key supporting information for ERP grant applications. The second part will be a training on VT DEC’s Clean Water Roadmap. The Roadmap allows users to explore estimated Total Phosphorus loading by sector at multiple watershed scales and apply custom best management practice scenarios to investigate potential reductions.
Participants will be able to participate by webinar or attend in person at TNC’s office at 575 Stone Cutters Way in Montpelier (parking is easy and free; please be aware this is a one way street.)There is no fee, but please register so we can anticipate the size of the group; there are space limitations both online and in person. If you are joining by webinar, we will send you the webinar access information after you register. Please contact Lyn Munno, [email protected] with any questions.
