Lake Champlain Basin Program Science and Implementation Grants Information Session

Date(s)

Time (optional)

2:30 - 3:30pm

The Lake Champlain Basin Program is hosting two informational public meetings to review several upcoming technical grant opportunities.

SUNY Plattsburgh. Angell College Center, Alumni Conference Room.

In Fall 2017, the LCBP will begin using a new process to award many of our science and implementation grants. Requests for pre-proposals will now call for two-page summaries of potential projects that address any of the strategies in Opportunities for Action. A subset of pre-proposals will be chosen to develop and submit a full proposal for funding consideration by the Lake Champlain Steering Committee, and projects will be awarded based on the suite of full proposals. The aim is to tap into the creativity of the research and management community to solve the most pressing challenges in the Lake Champlain Basin. We encourage all potential applicants who may propose projects with budgets over $25,000 to attend one of these meetings. Partners applying for pollution prevention and habitat conservation, aquatic invasive species spread prevention, education and outreach, organization support, and community resilience grants do not need to attend as that process is unchanged.
