The Lakes and Ponds Program of the VT Watershed Management Division and the Vermont Federation of Lakes and Ponds (FOVLAP) are holding the 14th Annual Vermont Lake Seminar. The Lake Seminar will be held at the College of Fine Arts (VCFA) in Montpelier. The theme for this year’s event is: Partners for Healthy Lakes: Exploring, Science, Data, and Tools Together! In the morning session, DEC staff will provide in-depth information about how a natural lake functions, lake science, and how lakes are connected to their watershed. Afternoon workshops cover a variety of topics: How are Vermont’s Lakes doing?; Partnerships and Funding Opportunities; and Data and Tools for Lake Protection. . Registration fees range from $24 to $32 depending on your organization type. Lunch is optional at VCFA’s cafeteria.
