WUV’s 2020-2022 Project Development Block Grant

Applications due on January 18, 2022.  WUV is pleased to announce our final round of funding through WUV’s 2020-2022 Project Development Block Grant. Go to WUV’s Block Grant page to the Project Development Block Grant for the application, application and reporting documents. This grant is to support watershed groups to develop projects that, when implemented, will lead to improved water quality with an emphasis on projects that will reduce nutrient and sediment pollution. Funds should be used for getting landowners, municipalities and other partners “on board” with projects to improve water quality and to move projects towards design and implementation. Funds can be used for project development work through September 2022. The grant range is from $2,500 to $15,000, though grant awards will depend on fund availability. Full guidance on the projects this funding can and cannot support is listed on the application. These funds support project development work including stormwater projects, riparian buffer plantings, dam/culvert removals (with the primary purpose of nutrient/sediment reduction), and river restoration projects. Funds cannot be used for preliminary or final designs. You  can apply for funds for a suite of project development work or for individual projects. There are a number of grant deliverables and quarterly reporting requirements; details on these requirements can be found in the Project Development Reporting Guidance document on the WUV block grant webpage. Completed applications must be submitted through email to Lyn ([email protected]) and Christian (christian@whiteriverpartnership.org). Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
