H35 - An act relating to improving the quality of State waters -  passed the Senate with only 2 no votes on May 12, and Vermont's House this morning (May 13) voted to concur with Senate amendments, clearing the way for final passage and sending the bill on to the Governor for his signature. Next begins the hard work of designing new regulations and administering the fees that will lead to improved water quality. The Clean Water Fund authorized by the bill will, among other purposes, "provide funding to nonprofit organizations, regional associations, and other entities for implementation and administration of community-based water quality programs or projects".
