Vermont Economic Resiliency Initiative

posted Sep 25, 2014, 2:47 PM by Lyn Munno
The Vermont Economic Resiliency Initiative evaluates local flood risk to business and infrastructure in selected communities, and identifies steps to minimize rebuilding and recovery costs. The first phase of the project evaluated areas where economic activity and associated infrastructure are at high risk of flooding statewide. Five areas in seven communities (Barre City and Town, Brandon, Brattleboro, Enosburg Village and Town, and Woodstock) were selected for a more detailed analysis of local flood risks. Action plans for each area will minimize future damage from flooding.  For more information, contact Chris Cochran, Community, Planning & Revitalization Director, 802-828-5212.
