From Chris Smith, US Fish and Wildlife Service:
If you are working to conserve or restore riparian areas, or are interested in learning more about what other conservation partners are doing to control Japanese knotweed, please consider joining us for an open forum on knotweed management in riparian habitat restoration areas.
When: December 9, 2014, 9:00-12:00
Where: Aldrich Public Library, 6 Washington Street, Barre VT
The objective of this gathering will be to share information, management practices, and issues associated with knotweed in the riparian landscape. Our goal for the meeting will be to develop a better understanding of the impediments and limitations knotweed presents to stakeholders and programs focused on riparian habitat restoration. We also hope to identify opportunities to facilitate communication and information transfer about Japanese knotweed in the future.
A more formal agenda will be developed in the coming weeks. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like additional information.
